What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)?
GEO is the practice of getting your business mentioned, cited and recommended inside answers from AI engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Classic SEO earns a ranked link; GEO earns a place in the answer itself.
I don't have a website. Can I use Searchiz?
Yes. Start from your Google Maps listing, Instagram, WhatsApp, a link in bio, or four quick questions. Searchiz builds your profile from them and publishes a page AI engines can cite, on your own domain if you want.
How is visibility measured?
Searchiz asks discovery questions that never name your brand, repeats them on each engine, and counts how many valid answers mention or recommend you. Every rate shows the number of answers and a 95% Wilson interval.
What happens when an engine fails or is not supported?
The answer is labeled failed, blocked or unsupported and left out of the sample. A failure is never counted as the engine ignoring you.
Does Searchiz publish automatically?
No. It prepares work automatically, but nothing is published until a person approves the exact rendered version. Changing a word or a fact requires a new approval.
Where are approved fixes published?
To the WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Google Business Profile, social scheduler or email tool you connect, or to a page Searchiz hosts, on your own domain if you want. Hosted pages notify IndexNow after publication; that reports a changed URL and does not guarantee indexing or a citation.
Can my clients approve without an account?
Yes. Send a single-use approval link. Your client can approve the exact version or request changes, which withdraws any earlier approval.
Which engines are supported?
ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Copilot and Claude are collected when a configured provider supports them. Others are listed as unsupported.
Can I use Searchiz from Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. Connect the MCP server or use the CLI with a workspace API key. Agents can read results, prepare actions and request approval.
Can I self-host Searchiz?
Yes. The open source application runs with your own collection and publishing credentials. It excludes the shared public index and the hosted dataset.
